Assistant Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Support the Superintendent in managing daily site operations, including trade coordination, material tracking, and safety compliance
• Maintain proficiency in all fields of document control tools and processes
• Track procurement items from submittal through delivery and site installation
• Apply and enforce JRM safety procedures and protocols on site
• Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and communicate relevant information
• Supervise designated trades and work areas within the project scope
• Cover the jobsite in the Superintendent’s absence to resolve safety or project issues
• Prepare and manage construction administration tasks such as submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes
• Coordinate building access, delivery schedules, and site logistics
• Utilize construction software and Microsoft Office tools for project documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in commercial construction
• Experience in interior or high-end renovation projects preferred
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting commercial construction plans and specifications
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety and Health Certification required
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Procore
• Experience with Microsoft Project
