Assistant Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee back-end construction activities through project completion
• Work closely with the Superintendent and Project Management team to monitor and execute project schedules
• Identify sequencing conflicts and help keep work progressing in the proper order
• Coordinate finish trades including drywall, paint, flooring, millwork, cabinets, and final inspections
• Hold subcontractors accountable for production, quality, and schedule commitments
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress and identify deficiencies
• Track quality control items and ensure punch list completion
• Coordinate inspections and verify work complies with project specifications
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite
• Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders
• Assist with project turnover and closeout documentation

Requirements

• 4–8 years of Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent experience in commercial or residential construction
• Recent multifamily construction experience is required
• Experience managing projects through back-end, finish, punch list, and closeout phases
• Strong understanding of construction schedules and sequencing
• Ability to read and follow project schedules
• Understanding of 5-level construction sequencing preferred
• Proven experience coordinating multiple subcontractors
• Experience overseeing finish trades through final turnover
• Strong quality control experience, including identifying, tracking, and resolving deficiencies
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
