About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the Coordinator of Strength and Conditioning in implementing all aspects of the performance enhancement program
- Teach strength and conditioning philosophy and techniques to student-athletes in assigned sports programs
- Assist with football-specific training and development
- Instruct student-athletes on the foundations of a healthy, nutritional lifestyle
- Collaborate with team coaches and sports medicine staff to design and implement year-round programs
- Maintain and upkeep all performance enhancement facilities
- Comply with all laws, policies, and regulations governing the University, NCAA, Atlantic 10, and Pioneer Football Conference
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of collegiate strength and conditioning experience
- Experience training collegiate football athletes
- Knowledge of speed, quickness, and agility development
- CSCS and/or CSCCa Certification
- Valid driver's license with a low-risk driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Division I collegiate athletics strength and conditioning coaching experience
- Experience in coaching and teaching student-athletes in nutrition
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
