Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for assigned intercollegiate athletic programs, including football, for in-season, off-season, and pre-season.
- Collaborate with the head strength coach and sports medicine or athletic training staff to support the rehabilitation and strengthening of injured athletes.
- Assist in the design and implementation of policies and procedures for the strength and conditioning program.
- Develop systems for tracking weight room attendance and documenting noteworthy athlete progress.
- Conduct annual needs analyses for sport teams in conjunction with sport coaches.
- Supervise work-study student employees and Athletic Performance interns.
- Adhere to all NCAA, conference, institutional, and departmental guidelines and policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull equipment weighing between 50–100 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and demonstrate athletic movements for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends to support practices, games, and recruiting events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
