Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations and achieve business objectives in partnership with the Store Manager
• Recruit, develop, and coach a high-performing retail team
• Drive store sales and achieve quarterly KPIs through effective customer service and product knowledge
• Manage store culture, employee engagement, and performance feedback
• Oversee operational tasks including payroll, scheduling, inventory, and POS troubleshooting
• Execute visual merchandising strategies to maintain brand standards and drive sales
• Resolve customer concerns and build loyalty through CRM and omni-channel solutions

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of retail leadership experience in high-volume environments
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience with hiring, training, and leading teams
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) including weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain active on the sales floor
• Ability to climb ladders and move boxes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience and passion for home interiors
• Experience with retail visual merchandising and display
• Proficiency with web-based POS and inventory systems (Shopify, Netsuite, etc.)
• Solutions-minded leader with an entrepreneurial mindset
