Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Store Manager in managing fast-paced retail store operations
• Build, coach, train, and engage the crew team to deliver superior customer care and business results
• Manage store operations to maximize sales, profits, and customer service levels
• Oversee inventory protection, asset management, and operational safety issues
• Maintain overall cleanliness and readiness of delivery vehicles, sales floor, stock room, and outside areas
• Drive NAPA operational and marketing programs while pursuing continuous process improvement
• Grow customer relationships by assisting with sales and service questions both in-person and over the phone

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school courses/degrees are a plus)
• Experience in the automotive after-market service industry, DIY world, or a strong willingness to learn automotive products
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
• Ability to lift 60lbs in certain situations
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and complex retail environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Background or passion for heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or automotive dealerships
• Previous management experience in a parts store, auction, retail, auto body, or food service environment
• ASE Certifications
• NAPA Know How
