Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Store Manager in managing fast-paced retail operations
• Build, coach, and train the crew team to deliver superior customer care and business results
• Manage store operations to maximize sales, profits, and customer service levels
• Oversee inventory protection, asset management, and operational safety issues
• Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of delivery vehicles, sales floor, and stock rooms
• Drive NAPA operational and marketing programs to ensure continuous process improvement
• Grow customer relationships by assisting with sales and service inquiries in-person and over the phone

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school courses/degrees are a plus
• Experience in the automotive aftermarket industry or a strong willingness to learn automotive products
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer care and building long-term relationships
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and complex retail environment
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
• Physical ability to lift up to 60lbs in certain situations

Preferred Qualifications

• Background or passion for heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership environments
• Previous management experience in a parts store, auction, retail, auto body, or food service setting
• ASE Certifications
• Existing "NAPA Know How"
