Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a successful team and support the Store Manager in a fast-paced retail environment
• Manage store operations to maximize sales, profitability, and customer service excellence
• Build, coach, train, and engage the crew to deliver superior business results
• Oversee inventory protection, asset management, and operational safety issues
• Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of delivery vehicles, sales floor, and stock rooms
• Drive NAPA operational and marketing programs while pursuing continuous process improvement
• Grow customer relationships by assisting with sales and service inquiries in-person and over the phone

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school courses/degrees are a plus)
• Experience in the automotive aftermarket industry or a strong willingness to learn automotive products
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer care and building long-term relationships
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and complex work environment
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
• Ability to lift 60lbs in certain situations

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or automotive dealerships
• Previous management experience in a parts store, retail, auto body, or fast-paced food service environment
• ASE Certifications
• NAPA Know How
