Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a successful retail team and support the Store Manager in a fast-paced environment
• Manage store operations to maximize sales, profitability, and customer service
• Build, coach, train, and engage the crew to deliver superior business results
• Oversee inventory protection, asset management, and operational safety
• Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of delivery vehicles, sales floor, and stock rooms
• Drive NAPA operational and marketing programs to ensure continuous process improvement
• Grow customer relationships by assisting with sales and service questions in-person and over the phone

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school courses/degrees are a plus
• Experience in the automotive after-market service industry, hobby/DIY world, or a strong willingness to learn
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
• Ability to lift 60lbs in certain situations
• Passion for delivering customer care and building long-term relationships

Preferred Qualifications

• Background or passion for heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership environments
• Management experience in a parts store, auction, retail, auto body, or fast-paced food service
• ASE Certifications
• NAPA Know How
