Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee the customer experience by ensuring an excellent level of service through regular assessment and coaching.
• Lead people development by training, developing, and providing ongoing feedback to associates on product knowledge and selling skills.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards, promotions, and the overall cleanliness of the sales floor and stockroom.
• Drive sales and profitability by meeting expectations for sales, payroll, shrink, and conversion.
• Ensure operational effectiveness by complying with all company policies, procedures, and loss prevention measures.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in sales and team development.
• Proven track record of driving sales and profit results.
• Proficiency with personal computers and skills in detailed report analysis.
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience in succession planning and people development.
