About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to store staff, including supervisors and associates
- Execute plans to enhance employee productivity and performance
- Assist the Store Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff
- Provide daily coaching to ensure staff performance standards are met
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, and shrink control
- Support the development and implementation of action plans regarding sales, safety, and personnel development
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a retail leadership position or similar specialization
- Proficiency operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and other in-store computerized systems
- Effective communication skills to exchange ideas with leadership, associates, and consumers
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including seasonal changes
