Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to store staff, including supervisors and associates
- Execute plans to enhance employee productivity and performance
- Assist the Store Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff
- Provide day-to-day coaching to ensure staff performance standards are met
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels through replenishment, organization, and shrink control
- Assist in developing action plans to address store sales, safety, and personnel development goals
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position or specialization
- Proficiency operating Point of Sales (POS) systems and other in-store computerized systems
- Ability to use judgment to resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems
- Effective communication skills to exchange ideas with leadership, associates, and consumers
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in an active, physical retail environment
- Availability to work a flexible retail schedule that may change seasonally
