Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to store staff, including supervisors and associates
• Execute plans to enhance employee productivity and performance
• Assist the Store Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff
• Provide day-to-day coaching to ensure staff performance standards are met
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, and shrink control
• Assist in developing and implementing action plans regarding sales, safety, and personnel development

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a similar position or specialization
• Proficiency operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and other in-store computerized systems
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical and operational issues
• Effective communication skills for interacting with leadership, associates, and customers
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule and perform physical tasks, including moving items up to 40 lbs.
