Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to supervisors and associates to ensure operational standards and staff performance are met
• Create an engaging consumer shopping experience by ensuring staff have in-depth product and technology knowledge
• Train and coach team members on selling skills to influence consumer buying decisions
• Assist the Store Manager with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing team development
• Implement action plans to address sales, store operations, safety, and employee productivity
• Manage weekly store schedules and support labor and operating expense targets
• Maintain inventory accuracy through effective receiving, replenishment, and shrink controls

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a retail leadership or specialized position
• Proficiency operating Inventory and Point of Sales (POS) systems and retail software tools
• Proven experience driving consumer engagement and personalized service
• Strong communication skills with the ability to exchange ideas with leadership and consumers
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs in a physically active environment
• Availability to work a flexible retail schedule that may change seasonally
