About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day store activities and manage team performance
  • Assist the direct leader in developing and implementing operational action plans
  • Manage employee schedules and identify training opportunities for staff development
  • Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies
  • Maintain store cleanliness standards, proper signage, and product freshness
  • Oversee merchandising to maximize sales and maintain appropriate stock levels
  • Resolve operational customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary
  • Monitor the competitive environment and provide product feedback to leadership

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
  • Knowledge of management principles regarding budgeting, personnel, and expenses
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks like stocking and standing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate a cash register and store equipment (e.g., hand jack, floor scrubber)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior management experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
