About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day store activities and manage team schedules to ensure optimal performance
  • Develop and implement operational action plans to improve store results and efficiency
  • Identify training and development opportunities to grow and enhance the performance of direct reports
  • Monitor the competitive local environment and provide product feedback to leadership
  • Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies
  • Maintain store cleanliness standards, proper signage, and equipment functionality
  • Assist with product ordering, merchandising, and maintaining stock levels
  • Resolve operational customer concerns and escalate issues to leadership when necessary

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
  • Knowledge of management principles including budgeting, personnel costs, and expenses
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks such as stocking and standing for extended periods
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate a cash register and store equipment (e.g., electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior management experience in a retail setting
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
