About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day store activities and manage team performance to ensure high levels of customer service
  • Assist the direct leader in developing and implementing operational action plans to improve results
  • Manage employee schedules and identify training opportunities to support team growth and development
  • Monitor inventory levels, product freshness, and merchandising standards to maximize sales
  • Ensure adherence to cash control policies, inventory procedures, and product handling guidelines
  • Maintain store cleanliness, proper signage, and equipment functionality
  • Resolve operational customer concerns and escalate issues to leadership when necessary

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing
  • Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including electric/manual hand jacks and cardboard balers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior management experience in a retail setting
