About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day store activities and manage team schedules to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist the direct leader in developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
  • Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
  • Identify training and development opportunities to help team members achieve enhanced performance
  • Monitor the competitive environment and provide product feedback to leadership
  • Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies
  • Maintain store cleanliness standards, proper signage, and equipment functionality
  • Oversee merchandising to maximize sales and ensure product quality and freshness
  • Resolve operational customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Prior management experience in a retail setting
