Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day store activities and manage team schedules
• Develop and implement operational action plans to improve store performance
• Identify training and development opportunities to grow the team
• Communicate performance expectations and core company values to direct reports
• Monitor the competitive local environment and provide product feedback
• Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies
• Maintain store cleanliness, proper signage, and high product quality standards
• Assist with product ordering, merchandising, and achieving budget goals

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive retail experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks like stocking and bending
• Proven leadership skills in a customer service environment
• Ability to operate a cash register and store equipment (e.g., hand jack, floor scrubber)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior management experience in a retail setting
