Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day store activities and manage team performance to ensure high levels of customer service
• Assist the direct leader in developing and implementing operational action plans to improve results
• Manage employee schedules and identify training opportunities to support team growth and development
• Monitor inventory levels, product handling, and cash control policies to minimize losses
• Maintain store cleanliness, proper signage, and merchandising standards to maximize sales
• Ensure product quality and freshness while assisting with appropriate product ordering
• Resolve operational customer concerns and maintain store equipment in proper working order

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of management principles including budgeting and personnel costs
• Ability to lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds
• Ability to operate equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks and cardboard balers

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior management experience in a retail setting
