Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day store activities and manage team performance
• Develop and implement operational action plans to improve results
• Manage employee schedules and identify training opportunities for staff development
• Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies
• Maintain store cleanliness, proper signage, and high standards of product freshness
• Assist with product ordering and merchandising to maximize sales
• Resolve operational customer concerns and maintain a safe, organized environment

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive retail experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of management principles including budgeting and personnel costs
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior management experience in a retail environment
