Assistant Store Leader

Responsibilities

• Cultivate an environment of genuine consumer connection by delivering exceptional, personalized retail experiences.
• Support the Store Leader in executing visual merchandising standards and telling the Carhartt brand story.
• Drive associate engagement by fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
• Develop, train, and coach associates using performance management tools to ensure professional growth.
• Assist with store operations, including policy administration, inventory control, and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Monitor performance metrics and revenue-building strategies to help achieve or exceed store goals.
• Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes for store positions.
• Engage with the local community to support brand awareness and community engagement events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience.
• 3 years of supervisory experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Proven expertise in sales, customer service, merchandising, and inventory control.
• Experience in staffing, coaching, counseling, and talent development.
• Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight (30-40 lbs).
• Flexibility to work retail hours and occasional national travel (up to 5%).
