Assistant Softball Coach

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach with instructing players in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of softball
• Organize and direct individual and small group practices and exercises
• Maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all college, NCAA, and conference rules and regulations
• Assist with the recruitment of qualified student-athletes
• Demonstrate effective teaching and coaching methods
• Assist with game and practice preparations and planning
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Three or more years of coaching experience at a high school or collegiate level
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Ability to travel extensively
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and after hours
• Physical ability to stand for at least 4 hours daily and lift up to 50 pounds
