Assistant Softball Coach

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit talented student-athletes who embody university values and possess academic and athletic potential
• Assist in planning and conducting team practices, providing both individual and group instruction
• Develop game strategies and support all aspects of game-day operations, including scouting and logistics
• Enforce team and school policies to ensure compliance with NCAA Division III and conference regulations
• Participate in fundraising, alumni relations, and community outreach to promote the softball program
• Oversee student-athletes or graduate assistants in the absence of the Head Coach

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Prior coaching or playing experience at the collegiate level
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Proficiency with technology used in recruiting and coaching
• Ability to stand for extended periods, engage in active movement, and lift sports-related equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree
• 5+ years of coaching or playing experience at the collegiate level
• Advanced knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Experience with video analysis software
