Assistant Soccer Coach

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting training sessions, matches, fitness activities, and player development programs
• Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes who align with the institution's mission and values
• Provide technical, tactical, and positional instruction to enhance individual and team performance
• Support program operations, including travel coordination, equipment management, scheduling, and film breakdown
• Uphold and enforce institutional, conference, and NCAA Division III rules and compliance standards
• Serve as a mentor to foster discipline, sportsmanship, accountability, and leadership among student-athletes
• Assist with camps, clinics, community engagement, and other program outreach initiatives

Requirements

• Knowledge of competitive soccer techniques, rules, and strategies
• Strong commitment to the academic success and holistic development of student-athletes
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and required travel
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and administrative systems
• Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Previous experience playing or coaching intercollegiate soccer
• Familiarity with NCAA rules and Division III recruiting practices
• Prior experience recruiting student-athletes at the collegiate level
• Specialized experience in areas such as goalkeeper training, video analysis, or strength and conditioning
