Assistant Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Conduct corporate-level safety audits on a thirty (30) day rotation
• Review and approve project-specific safety plans including Critical Lifts, LOTO, Confined Space, and Excavations
• Identify and resolve systemic safety issues
• Support project teams and field safety staff
• Build strategic relationships to influence safety culture and engagement
• Ensure projects are compliant with company requirements through auditing
• Ensure projects are properly staffed with Safety Coordinators and Technicians
• Oversee trade partnership development and prequalification status
• Monitor corrective action implementations and support training initiatives

Requirements

• OSHA 30-Hour Certification
• First Aid / CPR Certification
• OSHA 510 Certification
• Minimum five (5) years of experience or one (1) year of company tenure
• Ability to travel frequently and remain on site for multiple consecutive days or weeks
• Ability to perform prolonged standing, walking, and physical activity

Preferred Qualifications

• BCSP certification (required within one year of hire or promotion)
