About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead safety planning and execution aligned with project leadership and operational goals
- Partner with project managers and superintendents to integrate safety into project planning and field execution
- Develop, coach, and mentor Safety Coordinators and Senior Safety Coordinators
- Ensure consistent implementation of Holder safety programs and expectations
- Lead planning and execution of high-risk activities including crane & rigging, LOTO, critical lifts, and work at height
- Apply Energy-Based Safety principles (HECA, energy wheel, energy control) to manage exposure to high-risk energy sources
- Review and guide critical JHAs, MOPs, lift plans, and energy control procedures
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Support preconstruction planning to identify, assess, and mitigate risk for high-risk activities
- Build relationships with project teams, trade partners, and clients
- Support staffing, development, and performance of safety personnel
Requirements
- OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500 preferred
