Assistant Rowing Coach

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching a competitive rowing program for both experienced and novice athletes.
• Promote sportsmanship and ensure compliance with all NCAA, CAA conference, and institutional rules.
• Recruit qualified student-athletes and promote Bryant University's academic and athletic programs.
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress and refer athletes to appropriate university resources.
• Assist in developing and implementing clinics, summer camps, on-campus tryouts, and training trips.
• Maintain equipment and assist with facility upkeep and minor repairs.
• Establish positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, staff, and the community.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree.
• Collegiate, masters, or junior competitive rowing experience.
• Thorough understanding of and experience with NCAA D1 rules and regulations.
• Valid driver’s license for travel purposes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work non-standard hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• USRowing Coaching Certification.
• Experience in recruiting, coaching, and counseling student-athletes.
• Experience identifying and supporting at-risk students.
