Assistant Restaurant Manager

Responsibilities

• Run dining outlets and coach the restaurant team to provide high-level service in accordance with Viking’s STAR Service Standards
• Plan, schedule, and assign staff to relevant stations and assist the Restaurant Manager with daily menu presentations and F&B events
• Greet guests, manage reservations and seating, and communicate allergies or special needs to ensure a premium experience
• Coordinate with the Executive Chef, Galley Team, and Bar Team to ensure efficient service and conduct monthly inventory
• Lead and support a multi-cultural team while maintaining strict grooming, PPE, and hygiene standards
• Monitor restaurant KPI goals, manage pest management logs, and oversee the Time & Attendance System

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or similar in a 5-star hospitality or restaurant environment
• Knowledge of US Health and FDA Standards
• Valid Food handling and Alcohol certification
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card)
• Must be 21+ years of age and physically fit to meet the demands of an intense shipboard role
• Ability to work a 10/4 rotation (10 weeks on board, 4 weeks off)
