Assistant Resident Engineer (Infrastructure)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in administering day-to-day operational functions for infrastructure, roads, and landscaping projects
• Perform field engineering assignments including constructability reviews and observation of work in progress
• Maintain first-level quality assurance to ensure installations comply with plans, specifications, and industry standards
• Review and interpret design drawings and specifications to ensure correct technical execution
• Monitor construction schedules, material procurement, and deliveries to support project timelines
• Ensure all tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented according to approved procedures
• Collaborate with construction management to eliminate environmental, safety, and health hazards
• Maintain daily construction logs, technical catalogs, and supplier data for final project turnover
• Supervise site inspection staff and prepare regular progress reports
• Review contractor submissions and provide resolution for technical engineering problems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure, road works, and utilities projects (dry and/or wet)
• Proven track record supervising major road and general infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in engineering and construction software and computer applications for data management
• Strong command of technical English, both written and spoken
• Solid understanding of engineering and construction processes and industry best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working on projects in Dubai
