Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil (Roads & Utilities)

Responsibilities

• Support the Resident Engineer with daily field engineering, supervision, and constructability reviews.
• Review drawings and specifications for compliance and coordinate with design disciplines to ensure correct execution.
• Provide first-level QA by reviewing contractor submittals and verifying compliance with plans, specifications, and standards.
• Ensure required tests and inspections are carried out, witnessed, and documented.
• Track project progress and schedule performance, preparing regular reports and updates.
• Monitor material procurement, deliveries, and maintain technical catalogs and project records.
• Maintain daily logs and discipline turnover records while enforcing HSE requirements and hazard controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (with equivalency certificate as applicable).
• 8–10 years of experience in construction supervision and delivery of roads, utilities, and general infrastructure works.
• Valid ADM/DMT practice license or approval.
• Thorough knowledge of Abu Dhabi authorities’ regulations and the approvals process.
• Excellent site coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising structural works, such as pedestrian or cyclist bridges.
• PMP certification.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar engineering and design software.
• Strong understanding of Quality Assurance Specifications and Statistical Quality Control.
