Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) – Landscape

Responsibilities

• Supervise landscape construction works including hardscape, softscape, irrigation, parks, and public realm works
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions
• Ensure all activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, authority regulations, and quality standards
• Monitor site progress and coordinate with contractors to ensure timely completion of works
• Inspect landscape materials such as plants, trees, irrigation components, and paving materials prior to installation
• Coordinate with infrastructure, utilities, architectural, and MEP teams to resolve site interface issues
• Conduct site inspections and prepare snagging reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action follow-ups
• Verify completed works, measurements, and quantities for contractor progress valuations
• Support testing and commissioning activities for irrigation systems and water features
• Assist in project closeout, inspections, and handover of landscape assets to the client

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• 12–15 years of experience in landscape construction supervision projects
• Strong knowledge of hardscape, softscape, irrigation systems, and public realm works
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure, residential, or master community developments
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality and relevant UAE authority standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within the GCC/UAE region
• Knowledge of horticulture practices and plant specifications suitable for the GCC climate
• Experience in authority inspections and asset handover procedures
• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and construction safety standards
