About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the Resident Engineer in overseeing quality assurance, quality control, and compliance activities on construction projects
- Assist in implementing the project Quality Management Plan (QMP) and enforcing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Conduct and witness inspections across civil, architectural, and MEP works
- Review contractor submittals, including method statements, material approvals, and inspection checklists
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs), including root-cause analysis and verifying corrective actions
- Coordinate with laboratory testing providers and third-party inspectors to verify test results
- Perform routine quality surveillance focusing on workmanship, material storage, and traceability
- Assist in snagging and de-snagging activities and manage the project defect tracking system
- Maintain accurate quality records, including inspection reports, test certificates, and audit documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 3–5 years of experience in construction QA/QC, site inspection, or construction supervision
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality management systems and inspection methodologies
- Strong understanding of civil, architectural, and MEP construction processes and standards
- Proficiency in quality documentation, report writing, and record-keeping
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with project management software and digital inspection tools
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards, regulations, and local building codes
- Previous experience in snagging, de-snagging, and handover processes
- Knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures for MEP systems
- Professional certification in quality management or construction quality assurance
