About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct rigorous, policy-relevant research in areas such as Computational Social Science, Data Science, AI, or Public Policy.
  • Develop an independent, externally fundable research agenda.
  • Produce high-impact peer-reviewed academic publications and policy-oriented outputs.
  • Teach courses in master's programs (MPP, MEK, MLP, MXP) and supervise PhD students.
  • Collaborate on applied projects and engage with policy processes to address real-world public challenges.

Requirements

  • Strong quantitative training and command of modern empirical or computational methods.
  • Demonstrated record or clear potential for publication in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
  • Capacity and ambition to secure competitive research funding.
  • Demonstrated or promising teaching ability, including the ability to design methodologically advanced courses.
  • PhD in a relevant field (candidates completing their PhD by January 2027 will be considered).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience conducting applied research in collaboration with international organizations or government authorities.
  • Expertise in specialized areas such as Urban Economics, Health Policy, or International Trade.
