About the role
Responsibilities
- Control external contract expenditure through scope control, change management, and financial verification processes.
- Audit contract administration within delivery functions to ensure business process compliance.
- Measure supplier performance against contract KPIs and prepare associated improvement reports.
- Provide contract benchmarks, cost data, budget forecasts, and performance data for business improvement.
- Challenge contractor costs in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
- Manage contractual relationships and resolve disputes by interfacing with senior contractor staff.
- Develop project scopes, identify risks, and prepare budgets and Risk Registers for Target Cost works.
- Agree on the value of works for interim and progress payments with contractors.
Requirements
- Valid full driver's license.
- Proven experience in Quantity Surveying across multiple locations and high-volume works.
- Experience operating within a commercial market.
- Strong numeracy and financial management skills.
- Expert knowledge of analytical and quantity surveying techniques.
- Ability to write clear, precise reports and communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and various IT systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Awareness of statutory and license obligations within the electricity supply industry.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and financial control procedures for projects.
- Understanding of Electrical and Civil Engineering procedures.
