About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the Hudson Tunnel Project through project controls, compliance, and field management.
- Coordinate with NJ TRANSIT, the Gateway Development Commission, and other project partners.
- Assist with contract administration, procurement coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
- Implement environmental monitoring, compliance programs, and NEPA evaluations.
- Manage project controls including scheduling, cost estimating, budget management, and risk registers.
- Monitor package status through daily, monthly, and quarterly reports on safety, quality, and progress.
- Support site supervision, quality assurance audits, and testing/commissioning processes.
- Assist with design document reviews, constructability analysis, and BIM technology implementation.
- Facilitate contract close-out, including punch-list resolution and asset maintenance planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project or construction management.
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects.
- Knowledge of project controls, scheduling, cost estimating, and document management.
- Proficiency with project management software and BIM technologies.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working specifically on tunnel, rail, or major transportation infrastructure projects.
- Experience with federally funded projects and environmental/regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Ability to proactively identify issues and mitigate project risks.
