About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the Environmental and Community Dashboard (ECD) projects across various sites, including Oberlin, Cleveland, and the Great Lakes Science Center.
  • Coordinate with community partners to promote and expand project implementations and achieve sustainability goals.
  • Serve as the primary point person for developing content for the "Community Voices" component of the ECD.
  • Work with educators and administrators to develop, implement, and promote educational materials using the dashboard.
  • Manage digital signage, websites, and other web-embeddable content.
  • Supervise and mentor Oberlin undergraduate students, including paid assistants and those in research or practicum roles.
  • Facilitate meetings with community partners and student workers, including setting agendas and maintaining detailed notes.
  • Assist a research team in designing, implementing, and analyzing experiments associated with the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including youth, city officials, and community leaders.
  • Ability to work onsite in both Oberlin and Cleveland.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project management, education, or curriculum development.
  • Experience organizing for environmental or social justice causes.
  • Proficiency in website management, photography, and graphic design.
  • Advanced computer skills and experience troubleshooting hardware and software.

Benefits
