Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, management, and storage of all project documentation
• Participate in project hand-off meetings to gather job information
• Assist the PM in preparing construction budgets and managing schedules
• Develop and write subcontracts and purchase orders
• Manage subcontractor performance contractually and collaboratively
• Collect, organize, and distribute materials and equipment submittals
• Create and distribute RFIs for project clarification
• Work with PM and accounting to resolve cost discrepancies
• Help price, negotiate, and formalize changes in project scope
• Coordinate with Superintendents regarding resources, materials, and equipment
• Manage project safety, quality, and productivity
• Ensure jobsite remains clean and orderly

Requirements

• Professional experience in project management or a BS/BA in Building Science, Engineering, or Construction Management
• OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR Training
• Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and safety standards
• Proven leadership skills and ability to multitask
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and construction management software
• Familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification
