Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct project teams to meet goals, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are clearly defined.
• Establish project procedures consistent with contractual documents and quality plans.
• Oversee all project controls, including schedules, budgets, and engineering work.
• Serve as the primary project representative with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Identify and secure necessary approvals for changes in project scope, budget, or schedule.
• Ensure all work products comply with industry standards, legal codes, and safety regulations.
• Provide ongoing training and mentoring to entry and mid-level engineers.
• Spend 80% - 90% of time working directly in the field on construction projects.

Requirements

• 10+ years of related experience and/or training in the construction industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, and scheduling.
• Proven experience in leadership, contract administration, and negotiations.
• Ability to access all areas of a construction project site.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and resolve complex problems.
