About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct project teams to meet goals, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are clearly defined.
- Establish project procedures consistent with contractual documents and quality plans.
- Oversee all project controls, including schedules, budgets, and engineering work.
- Serve as the primary project representative with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Identify and secure necessary approvals for changes in project scope, budget, or schedule.
- Ensure all work products comply with industry standards, legal codes, and safety regulations.
- Provide ongoing training and mentoring to entry and mid-level engineers.
- Spend 80% - 90% of time working directly in the field on construction projects.
Requirements
- 10+ years of related experience and/or training in the construction industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, and scheduling.
- Proven experience in leadership, contract administration, and negotiations.
- Ability to access all areas of a construction project site.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and resolve complex problems.
