Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day project administrative and management needs
• Interpret drawings and specifications
• Prepare and analyze project schedules
• Review site safety, security, and maintenance plans
• Coordinate construction activities with local officials
• Manage subcontracts, purchase orders, RFIs, and submittals
• Assemble job cost codes and prepare monthly payment requisitions
• Coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries
• Prepare change order requests and review with project team
• Visit projects regularly to monitor progress and issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in heavy highway construction preferred
• 2+ years in an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer role
• Experience with construction management software (HCSS, Primavera, or P6 preferred)
• Ability to perform accurate project take-offs and estimates
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
