Assistant Project Manager, Environmental Scientist or Geologist

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee project work associated with environmental investigations and remediation oversight under CERCLA, RCRA, and state-specific guidance
• Lead technical teams working across multiple offices, preparing plans and specifications, and meeting with clients and subcontractors
• Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other stakeholders
• Develop Work Plans and Sampling and Analysis Plans
• Conduct site investigation activities including sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, and air
• Lead Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
• Compile and interpret investigation data and write technical reports
• Evaluate technology feasibility and design remedial/corrective actions
• Provide environmental compliance support and data collection for permitting
• Support marketing and business development efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field
• 5+ years of environmental assessment/remediation experience
• Experience performing or reviewing Phase I ESAs
• Knowledge of RCRA and CERCLA processes (RI/FS, RD/RA, ROD, and LTM)
• Experience supporting federal projects, preferably DoD or Navy
• Current OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER training and certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project support tools
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel approximately 30% regionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field
• GIT Certification or PG Licensure
