Assistant Project Manager – Digital Twin

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in delivering a large-scale Geospatial Digital Twin programme across all project phases, from discovery to post-implementation.
• Assist in planning and tracking project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and issues.
• Coordinate activities between international project teams, including architects, data engineers, and GIS/IoT specialists, as well as external vendors.
• Support stakeholder engagement by organizing workshops, capturing requirements, and documenting key decisions.
• Assist in the development of functional requirements, solution architecture, and integration designs for the Digital Twin platform.
• Help manage the transition from Proof of Concept (PoC) to a production-grade environment, including testing and go-live readiness.
• Prepare draft status reports, presentations, and project communications for client stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, GIS, or a related digital solutions field.
• 8 years of experience supporting large-scale digital, Digital Twin, or geospatial projects within infrastructure, utilities, or urban environments.
• Working knowledge of the Esri ArcGIS platform (ArcGIS Enterprise, Online, Pro, etc.).
• Exposure to integrating ArcGIS with enterprise systems such as CMMS/EAM, ERP, BIM, or SCADA/IoT platforms.
• Basic understanding of systems integration concepts, including APIs and web services.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills with experience in project planning and control.
• Fluency in both spoken and written English and Arabic.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with national infrastructure owners, transport, or public works organizations.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS and modern DevOps practices.
• Professional certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or GIS (Esri certifications).
