About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and directing design and construction projects in the NYC watershed
- Monitor permit requirements and help resolve project issues
- Conduct field condition surveys and prepare accurate reports
- Review contract documents, codes, and regulations for deficiencies
- Participate in field investigations and construction inspections
- Attend environmental compliance and safety training
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in engineering, construction, planning, public administration, or related field
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Critical thinking and independent data analysis
- Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing assignments
- Willingness to perform field work in varied weather and terrain
- Motor vehicle operation for site visits and stakeholder meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Understanding of project management principles and DEP procedures
- Experience with infrastructure or construction projects
