Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in preparing detailed execution plans, schedules, and progress reports.
• Coordinate between internal departments including Engineering, SCM, Finance, QA/QC, and Site teams.
• Track project milestones, material deliveries, and resource mobilization plans.
• Assist in preparing or reviewing system architecture diagrams, control philosophies, I/O lists, and FAT/SAT protocols.
• Support Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT/SAT), including documentation and punch-list closure.
• Monitor project cost sheets, billing milestones, and subcontractor claims.
• Participate in client meetings, document minutes, and update action trackers.
• Coordinate with site teams on installation, testing, and commissioning progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Control Systems Engineering.
• 10-12 years of experience in industrial automation or control system projects.
• 4-5 years of professional experience within the Middle East.
• Solid understanding of PLC and SCADA systems (preferably Siemens PCS7, S7-400/1500, WinCC).
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control system architecture drawings.
• Proficiency in MS Project and Excel.
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Oil & Gas, Water, or Manufacturing sectors.
• Background working within a system integrator or EPC environment.
