About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee site surveys and develop project initiation packages in collaboration with regional leadership
  • Collaborate with design consultancies and stakeholders to create concept design packages based on business requirements and landlord specifications
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and documentation to ensure progress against timelines
  • Manage end-to-end project delivery, including oversight of general contractors and specialty trades
  • Handle full project lifecycle budget management from initial CAPEX planning through final cost reconciliation
  • Conduct regular on-site and off-site inspections to ensure compliance with Burberry Architecture Standards
  • Chair bi-lingual progress meetings and distribute formal minutes with action items
  • Participate in value engineering and cost optimization strategies

Requirements

  • Architecture degree or equivalent faculty of architecture graduate
  • 6+ years of experience in luxury retail store planning and project execution
  • 3+ years of experience leading construction projects in luxury retail environments independently
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese is required
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience coordinating internal teams and external consultants
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and reconcile project costs throughout the construction lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

  • Local architect license (2nd grade architect or above)
  • LEED GA or AP qualification
