Assistant Project Director - Utilities

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a multi-million-pound portfolio of enabling and public utilities projects supporting the development of the park and Entertainment Resort Complex.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle, including planning, scope development, contracting, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Manage the planning and execution of infrastructure developments such as central energy plants, process water facilities, and rainwater harvesting systems.
• Coordinate with UK utility statutory undertakers to align works with project schedules, budgets, and contractor phasing.
• Manage project finances, including budget oversight, financial reporting, cash flow, and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with Environment Health & Safety (EHS) standards and obtain all necessary regulatory approvals and permits.
• Maintain hands-on management of field operations and ensure effective document control and quality design/construction work.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in construction project management within the engineering, construction, or commercial facilities industry.
• Experience in the delivery of infrastructure construction projects through both design and construction phases.
• Strong knowledge of construction delivery methods for enabling infrastructure, including mass grading, water management, and utilities.
• Direct experience coordinating with UK utility statutory undertakers.
• Ability to interpret design and construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and other project management tools.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in project scheduling, estimating, bidding processes, and contract administration.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or Revit.
• SIA licensing and/or relevant executive security certifications.
