Assistant Project Director - Earthwork and Utilities

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of a multi-million-pound portfolio of enabling and public utilities projects for Universal United Kingdom Resort
• Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, scope, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, statutory undertakers, utilities partners, and internal stakeholders
• Oversee project safety, regulatory approvals, document control, and close-out documentation
• Track budgets, schedules, financial reporting, and capital funding requests
• Support field operations, constructability, critical path management, and operational continuity during construction

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Experience in construction project management or infrastructure delivery
• Strong knowledge of mass grading, water management, environmental mitigation, and utilities
• Experience working with UK utility statutory undertakers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel
• Experience with project scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering enabling infrastructure and non-park developments
• Familiarity with permit applications, wayleaves, and other regulatory approvals
• Experience managing project finances, change orders, and cash flow
• Knowledge of Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or Revit
