About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the Programme Manager in day-to-day operations
- Act as 2IC and lead sessions when the Programme Manager is away
- Supervise and engage large groups of children in a safe environment
- Assist in planning and delivering activities like arts, crafts, and sports
- Manage challenging behaviour using positive guidance strategies
- Guide and support Programme Assistants on shift
- Build relationships with parents, caregivers, and school staff
- Assist with set-up, pack-down, and resource preparation
Requirements
- Legal right to work in New Zealand
- Reliable transport to the sKids Forrest Hill site
- Experience working with groups of children (childcare, coaching, teaching, etc.)
- Ability to step into leadership roles and take initiative
- Experience managing behaviour in group settings
- Strong communication skills with children and adults
- Must be over 20 years of age
