About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the Programme Manager in day-to-day operations
  • Act as 2IC and lead sessions when the Programme Manager is away
  • Supervise and engage large groups of children in a safe and inclusive environment
  • Assist in planning and delivering activities such as arts, crafts, sports, and trips
  • Manage challenging behavior using positive guidance strategies
  • Guide and support Programme Assistants on shift
  • Build positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and school staff
  • Assist with set-up, pack-down, and resource preparation

Requirements

  • Legal right to work in New Zealand
  • Reliable transport to sites within Kumeu, Auckland
  • Experience working with groups of children (childcare, coaching, teaching, etc.)
  • Ability to step into leadership roles and take initiative
  • Experience managing behavior in group settings
  • Strong communication skills with children and adults
  • Must be over 20 years of age
