About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide frontline support to program staff during emergencies and respond to client or staff complaints
- Assume temporary program manager responsibilities to fill vacancies as needed
- Support program operations through the creation of resources, workshops, and strategy development
- Monitor program-related financial matters to ensure operations remain within budget
- Assist the Director of Programs in developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures
- Supervise and support staff through recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management
- Manage staffing schedules and assist with bi-weekly payroll approvals
- Oversee facility upkeep by conducting regular walkthroughs and coordinating necessary repairs
- Maintain accurate program administration, including client records, progress reports, and files
Requirements
- Diploma in Social Sciences, Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Social or Human Services
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a supervisory position
- Current certification in Standard First Aid with CPR
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean Driver’s Abstract
- Ability to pass a Criminal Police Investigation Check
- Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience working with marginalized clientele, including those facing addiction and mental health challenges
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Mental Health/Addictions
